I lead the Perception and Neuroarchitectural Mapping Group ved Center of Functionally Integrative Neuroscience (CFIN).
We conduct basic as well as clinical research. A main line of research within the group focuses on human perception, particularly conscious perception and subjective experience. In recent years, we have branched out to study a number of psychological phenomena within cognition, personality and mental health, including the link between these and consciousness. We use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), magnetoencephalography (MEG), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to examine the link between perception and brain structure/function.
I teach as part of CFIN's summer school in congnitive neuroscience. I further supervise students primarily of medicine, cognitive science and psychology at Aarhus University as well as students of Neuroscience & Neuroimaging at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). I further supervise PhD students and postdocs as a main supervisor at Aarhus University and as a co-supervisor/collaborator at several other universities in Europe, Asia and the USA.
