I am a biologist and Ph.D. student at Center of Functionally Integrative Neuroscience (CFIN). I find human physiology and pathophysiology particularly interesting, and find it important that my work can benefit human health. My research investigates functional changes in the blood's microcirculation and its association to diabetes (type 2) with the purpose of improved (non-invasive) diagnosis.
I have previously been involved in fish research relating to both aquaculture and respirometry. In my current research as Ph.D. student, I am working with advanced imaging of the smallest blood vessels in the brain and eye.
