News from the Neurophysics group
Two researchers from the Neurophysics group at CFIN - postdoc Anders Dyhr Sandgaard and former PhD student Jonas L. Olesen - has great success in their recent published articles.
The Neurophysics group, headed by Professor Sune N. Jespersen, uses biophysical modelling and magnetic resonance imaging to develop techniques to study the structure of the brain on a micrometer scale, i.e. its microstructure. The groups work enables subtle changes in microstructure of the living brain to be visualized noninvasively, with applications both in health and disease.

Postdoc in the Neurophysics group, Anders Dyhr Sandgaard's article "Incorporating the effect of white matter microstructure in the estimation of magnetic susceptibility in ex vivo mouse brain” has been chosen as "Editor’s pick" in the February 2024 edition of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.

Also, former PhD student in the Neurophysics group, Jonas L. Olesen's article “Tensor denoising of multidimensional MRI data” is among the most read/downloaded articles from MRM in 2022. This work, published in Magnetic Resonance in Medicine on behalf of International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, has received enough downloads to rank within the top 10% of papers published*.
