New Music In the Brain center
CFIN researcher and head of the Music In the Brain research group, Peter Vuust has just received funding - up to DKK 52 mio - from The Danish National Research Foundation for a new Center of Excellence.
The Danish National Research Foundation is investing DKK 700 million and allocating DKK 400 million for 12 new Centers of Excellence that will set an international standard for innovative research.
The Danish National Research Foundation's Center for Music In the Brain (MIB) headed by Peter Vuust is one of the 12 new centers. The new centers will be established for a six-year period, with a possible extension for another four years, provided they undergo a successful midterm evaluation.
Professor Liselotte Højgaard, chair of the foundation’s board, is pleased with the enormous amount of talent unveiled by the ambitious and original ideas this application round has produced:
“The proposals we have received for this application round are outstanding, and I am convinced that the centers we are now establishing will contribute considerably to growth and welfare in Denmark with original and innovative approaches to a wide range of important research questions.”
