I am a researcher at Aarhus University, building a Federated Learning Center of Excellence for medical image analysis. I develop methods to train and validate AI models across hospitals without moving patient data, currently for MRI-based prostate cancer detection. My PhD (Hebrew University) produced FDA-approved machine learning for deep brain stimulation surgery, and I have led R&D as CTO in digital health and medical devices.
I develop products based on GenAI and machine learning methods for clinicians, with a focus on federated learning: training models across hospitals without sharing patient data. I previously built real-time algorithms that guide deep brain stimulation surgery, and I have worked in industry as an AI engineer, AI architect and CTO.
I advise hospitals and healthcare organisations on how to build, validate and deploy AI in clinical practice. My advice draws on my research in federated learning and medical imaging, and on my work on a hospital AI infrastructure platform. Typical topics are multi-site model validation, privacy-preserving data collaboration and the practical steps from research prototype to clinical use.
I lead the development of a federated learning platform for medical imaging at Aarhus University and run multi-site research collaborations with hospitals and industry. I supervise data scientists and students, and I handle data protection and collaboration agreements. Previously, I was CTO at Cnoga Digital Care, Head of AI at Clalit (HMO), where I led a 20-person R&D team, and I advised digital health startups as CTO of eHealth Ventures.
