My research group focuses on the role of the immune system in cancer, particularly in the blood cancer multiple myeloma. We are especially interested in a specific type of immune cell called "macrophages", and how these cells regulate the rest of the immune system's response to cancer and treatment. We also aim to explore whether, in the future, cancer treatment can be improved through personalized therapies specifically targeting these important macrophages.
