I have a biochemical background with expertises in neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson and Alzheimer diseases), gene therapy delivery to the central nervous system, and focused ultrasound in combination with microbubbles for increased blood-brain barrier permeability.
As a postdoctoral fellow I am a researcher and a teacher. I design, plan and execute experiments as well as ensure that we have the necessary funding to conduct the studies. As a teacher I both supervise students in the laboratory as well as teach classes as part of the curriculum for medical students.
