As a researcher, I am particularly interested in the treatment of intestinal diseases using donor stool, also known as faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), as well as the intestinal disease ulcerative colitis. In my research, I focus on optimising the treatment of acute severe ulcerative colitis and investigating the mechanisms underlying the use of FMT for ulcerative colitis. Previously, I have also worked on validating capsule-based FMT and treating intestinal infections caused by the bacterium Clostridioides difficile.
