Research

I'm a consultant at the Dansih Centre for Particle Therapy, and my research is primaryly clinical.

I my research, I focus on advanced radiotherapy, especially proton radiotherapy. I'm especially interested in head and neck cancer patients - patients with cancer of the throat, larynx and paranasal sinusses. My focus is the reduction of side effects, but also treatment of patients with poor prognosis. In the later the focus is on improving the chance of cure, using advanced therapy.

Teaching activities

I'm an assistant professor and participate in the education of medical students and supervise Ph.d. students.

Most of my projects are carried out in corporation with the Danish Head and Neck Cancer group (DAHANCA).
