I am a medical specialist in Clinical Biochemistry and medically responsible for the coagulation laboratory at Aarhus University Hospital. I am also a clinical associate professor and group leader for the thrombosis and haemostasis research group at Dpt. of Clinical Biochemistry, AUH. Our research lab provides a broad panel of laboratory assays to assess the various aspects of the haemostatic system.
My research focuses on biomarkers for blood coagulation, bleeding and thrombosis. A special focus point is interactions between the immune system and blood coagulation and fibrinolysis. I work with different clinical conditions including venous thromboembolism, sepsis, intensive care medicine and rheumatologic disorders.
