    "Consciousness: content, state and cognitive control related studies"

    Abstract:

    This talk gives an overview of consciousness topical research pursued in our lab over a few recent years. Specifically, ERP, TMS and genotyping methods based research will be reviewed. The experimental paradigms covered include visual masking, detection of perithreshold visual stimuli, contrastive analysis of ERPs and TEPs between conscious and not-conscious stimulation conditions, and free choice by subjects of either to deceive or not when naming observed visual objects. Also, a brief commentary on our recent theoretical approaches to the problem of NCC and consciousness mechanisms will be presented.
