Facilities

The advanced technical equipment of the CFIN enables us to investigate the neural correlates of neurobiological mechanisms underlying language and speech processing. The neuroimaging scanners are located in the basement of Aarhus University Hospital.

MEG & EEG

The Elekta Neuromag TRIUX Magnetoencephalography (MEG): 306 MEG, 128 EEG, 12 bipolar channels. EEG BrainProducts system: MRI and TMS-compatible caps and amplifiers (32 and 64 channels)

MRI & PET

Two scanners for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Siemens Magnetom Tim Trio 3T 32 & 12 ch head coils; Siemens Magnetom Skyra 3T 32 & 20 ch head coils; both with physiological monitoring (respiration, pO2, EEG/EMG/ECG)

Navigated TMS

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) can be used to investigate the function and connectivity of (un)impaired language processing. MagVenture MagPro x100 & Nexstim eXimia 3.2 for coil tracking and navigation
